Glass fusing is the art of melting layers of glass together in a kiln to create bold, colorful designs—where heat transforms separate pieces into one smooth, vibrant work of art.
In my short half-day course, you’ll learn how to cut and layer glass, then add paints and powders before firing your piece in the kiln. You’ll create a small finished item such as a pendant, coaster, or sun catcher.
The full-day course covers the same techniques but allows more time and materials to create a larger, more complex piece. Suitable for beginners.
Glass-on-glass mosaic is a hybrid of traditional mosaic and stained glass—assembled piece by piece like a mosaic, but built on a clear glass base so light can shine through, making the colors glow and shimmer like a stained glass window. This technique is ideal for beginners, requiring minimal tools and offering quick, satisfying results.
Leaded glass is a centuries-old craft dating back to medieval Europe, where individual pieces of glass are joined with lead strips to form strong, intricate designs. This enduring technique shaped the iconic stained glass windows found in churches, cathedrals, and historic buildings.
This workshop is offered as a one- or two-day course and teaches all the essential skills needed to create a traditionally crafted stained glass panel.
Please note: Workshop places are non refundable. No refunds can be made to those who fail to attend a course in full or in part so please ensure you can attend every session in the workshop before booking.
