Award made for the winner of the 2017 Huw V Smith Memorial Award, an award given in memory of Professor Huw V. Smith, who was widely recognized for his research into parasites. The award is given to an individual in recognition of their contribution towards research of the parasites Cryptosporidium and Giardia. The 2017 award ceremony was held in Cuba.
A fused glass piece made for a local bowls club as a prize for the winner of a ladies tournament. The piece features a lawn bowl in the centre of a larger clear glass bow with the lettering deeply etched around the outer rim of the glass.
Commissioned as a gift for a Psychology professor showing the anatomy of the human brain. It was made from a fused glass disc which was deep sandblasted and coloured with transparent glass enamels then mounted in a curved glass stand.
